Everton VS Sunderland
Everton seemed revived since the return of mighty Cahill while Sunderland players must be feeling aggrieved failing to win against Newcastle on their last match. Everton are unbeaten for 6 matches since the Merseyside derby but on their last home match v Birmingham they behaved a bit naive IMO. They scored early (Yakubu 10th min) and then 'sat' on it, to be finally awakened by Blues late (80th min) equalizer.
Sunderland were shocked with Nosworthy's injury but Whitehead makes a comeback. They played some good football v Newcastle and they have scored almost on all of their matches. Surely the -3/4 offered for this match is 'well set' but I can see some minor value on the away +1. Don't be fooled by my low staking, I'm rather fond of this bet but I prefer being quite cautious here because Everton are the favorites and can kill this game anytime. It is a bit like having a pair of aces at the flop and fear to loose from a possible flush, hence the low stakes..
I reckon this would be a close fight as it is also a northern derby and I believe that the visitors will score at least once and cause problems..Surely they will be many to argue that the Evertonians did not loose at Stamford Bridge but I think that Toffees play much much better against big rivals. Moreover Yakubu suggested that top 6 will be ok for Everton therefore once more Moyes looks powerless in my eyes to motivate his players just enough..
